Crossing the Boundaries

Fri, 10/04/2013 - 10:37 -- Jen

I'm leaping 'cross the boundaries;

I'm breaking down the walls

That held me chained up

While my life's dream falls.

But I slipped off the chains,

And broke through the barrier.

Jumping over the boundary line

Could not have been scarier!

But I dove into the abyss,

Intent on catching my dreams

Before they land and shatter,

And elicit soul-splitting screams.

I reach out and grab them,

And hold them tightly to my breast;

I even landed on my feet,

 Still clutching them to my chest.

They are safe in my arms,

And I'll carry them to the top.

I finally crossed the boundaries,

And I will never stop.
