Why is love such a crime?

Why must people aim hatred towards love?

When a man holds another's hand they look away in disgust

When a woman kisses another lightly on their lips they jeer 

How does love deserve such hatred from people?

How could they not understand it isn't wrong to love?

Who someone loves is their business, not yours

Who someone wants to be with, it's not up to you

Where is the compassion that their God teaches them about?

Where is the dignity a human being deserves?

What is wrong with us that we do not deserve to be treated like everyone else?

What is wrong with us that our love deserves to be hated?
