Creating My Life (A Shakespearian Sonnet)

The world gave me its thoughts about success,

Told me to get a job and make money.

From me the world expects not one thing less,

But what if this view is old and rusty?

I do not want to be chained to a desk;

Then how could I travel around the world?

Being a trapped employee sound grotesque;

To me I do not want my future hurled.

I will create a future that I love;

This creation is what inspires me

And motivates me to aspire above

The rest, this thought of at last being free.

I will not live my life clandestinely;

I am the master of my destiny.
