I have to write a poem.

I didn't choose to but my teacher is making me.

It's for a scholarship, or college loan,

Or something. It isn't important to me.

I don't plan on following that college road,

Yet. My idea for post highschool is the military.

I plan on joining the Marines but my teacher said, "No,

You still have to fill out the applications and every

Darn blank they hold!"

I found this poem application and felt very lucky.

I don't care if this rhymes. Everything can be a poem,

Apparently!
