Consider

Consider

1 Corinthians 8:10-11

10 For if someone weak sees you who possess knowledge dining in an idol’s temple,

will not his conscience be “strengthened” to eat food offered to idols?

11 So by your knowledge the weak brother or sister, for whom Christ died, is destroyed.

Correctness of conduct and good habits

can advance the civilized lot

but it is nothing like obedience

to the direct Will of God

Hardened consciences are not restricted

to only a chosen few

They are man-made fabrications,

some of which originate in the pew

Reject attempts from man’s religion

to mold your conscience into their mold

For only God should direct it

and He will multiply tenfold

A marvelous treasure is our conscience

It surely has infinite worth

It receives its understanding

direct from The Spirit in rebirth.

Its faculties are beyond description

It is the pipeline of God’s Will

Oh! Let us keep it soft and tender

and leave it open for God to fill
