Confusion

Confusion… it takes over your mind
Makes you over think things
So confused
You love him you know you do
But what if just love isn’t enough
Its hard to have love without trust
You’ve done nothing
He did
You didn’t cheat
He did
But he cant trust you
You’re trying to convince him to trust you
But really in reality it should be the other way around
He’s the one who fucked up the first time
Not you
So why are you the one doing the convincing?
Why are you the one who can’t seem to be trusted?
Why?
Shouldn’t he be the one trying to convince you?
Trying to show you that he loves you?
Not you trying to show him he can trust you?
Why can’t he trust you?
This world it turns us all around
Changes our point of view
Changes how we perceive things
Changes how we choose to see things
He cheated
You didn’t
You’ve been nothing but faithful
He wasn’t
He loves you
So he says
And at one time you believed him
Now you’re not so sure
Now you don’t know how he feels
He says he doesn’t care sometimes
He says he does
Back and forth
Round and round you two go
If he loves you
Like he says he does
Then shouldn’t he be able to trust you
You’re not his last girlfriend
The one he cheated on you with
The one you really have to blame for all this
You’re tired of having to pay for other people mistakes
You’re not her and she’s not you
And until he can break the two apart
The relationship might not have a future
There may not be a tomorrow for you two
And if there isn’t it wasn’t your fault
You’re not to blame
He’s the one
Or is he?
Yes he is
Or is he?
The confusion returns
Just when you think you’ve got your head on right
Confusion…knocks it sideways once again
