Condemned

She wakes up in the descending darkness

Her damp cheek against the cool pillow

A cool breeze ruffes the curtains

She struggles to grasp the remnans of her dream

Knowing she'll dread it when it surfaces

She's running through the towering forest

Her silk gown torn and ruined

Her bare feet sinking in the cool mud

Again and again she stumbles

Scrapping her knees time and time again

The naked fear claws at her

Pulling her toward safety

Away from something unknown

She has to get away

The reason lost in the howling wind

All she knows is to run

Again she stumbles and falls

Only this time vines from the ground shoot up

They grip her wrists, ankles, waist

Sucking her into the ground

She throws a frantic glance behind her

The giant shadow looms over her

Condemning her for her faults

But then she wakes up

Searching for the light switch

Banishing the darkness away
