Common Uniqueness

The future is mysterious yet bright,

It’s like the gold that shines on the streams mirroring the sky

Or the celestial bodies exposing the cosmos at night,

We know about it, yes, but it still does not fail to mystify

Anyone at any time, any rate, or point in time

He said this to me as if I were the symbol of hope,

When he has bestowed all of his will for my success,

Wisdom, Care, Love, Advice; knowing how to properly cope,

Or make it work, not giving in, allowing me to finesse

The deck that houses its queens and kings

Subtle actions whenever needed or not,

Just enough to protect and reassure that the world’s still rich

No gesture can be repaid, forever… not by a long shot,

He’s common like all others, however, never will I switch

This unique experience for another milieu

This poem is about:
My family
