The Command of Words

The command of words

is a powerful tool

a double edged sword

Keep it sharp

it hurts less

but cuts deeper

be careful where you swing it

you might be

swinging it at yourself

Because words can be quicksand

be careful what you put on the paper

it might suck you in

interested

trap you intentionally

with unintended meanings

words are ghosts

angry ones haunt

you forever

words are paintbrushes

creating

works of art

but no one

sees it the same

way as the author, the painter

Be wary of misunderstanding

or over-interpreting

words can be bald

but they’re always bald - they have no hair

things might mean what they seem

you can’t say I didn’t warn you.
