Cold Embrace

I flew straight into the center.

A ghastly little stream, influencing the earth

turning the flower petals gold

and the lake to ice,

just to fall into the lake,

to wrap myself in its cold embrace.

I've found home in this atrocious aqua,

a place to adore

i've found warmth

but maybe I just like it here

because I'm what turned it cold.

The water, stripped of its ability to reflect,

has regained what it has lost

but until the lava pours atop my creation,

this is my home,

and I wrap myself in its cold embrace
