The Clouds' Shadows

i’ve noticed on plane rides that

the clouds’ shadows cover the earth

protecting me from harsh sun beams that

kiss my skin

so that there is a bit more melanin to glisten

i’ve noticed that the rain

has tranquility before the

saddened skies cry their tears

only to bring waves of lavender and vibrant greens

as the breezes caresses everything it sees

the beauty of change

as greens turns into reds and silvers

and silvers turn into a nonexistence

stars and angels

are becoming apparent beneath

my feet

appreciative of all things natural

from my skin to the flowers

so admiral

from summer to winter

so adaptable

i’ve noticed on plane rides that

the clouds’ shadows cover the earth

protecting me from sadness

blockading all malice

exposing me to happiness
