The Closet Case

Silence

Stillness

Judgement

• • •

Happiness and progress

Brought to a halt

Families and society

Torn apart

• • •

Hatred

Anger

Confusion

• • •

Children damned to hell,

Afraid to show themselves

Haunted by thoughts of

Abandonment

"Abominations"

Hidden behind deceptive faces

Waiting...

Waiting for it to make sense

Hoping

Wishing

Praying with every ounce of faith

That this isn't happening

Day and night

Struggling

To find their place

To understand who they are

To figure things out

• • •

Society

Standards

Life

• • •

Wrong and right

Force-fed to the youth

Instilled in their minds

Social barriers

Stereotypes

Ignorance

All blended into

We the people

To form a more perfect union

Children taught not to love thy neighbor

Yet to JUDGE thy neighbor

Hypocrites, slick as a serpent,

Claiming love and support,

Dig their fangs,

Dripping with disgust and repulsion

Into the backs

Of the unsuspecting

• • •

We're breeding a culture

Based on ignorance

Citizens,

Ignorant of understanding

Ignorant of compassion

Ignorant of love.

And If this is how

we choose to live

We'll all be damned to hell

In the end
