A Cliche Yet Again

When I hold you in my eyes

The sight of you sends my heart away

To a land, of love and lust and space

Such words are enough to make me weak

In you, my dreams and desires rest

And none but you can quench the flames

Of love that burns, I know you know

We know such love that fire sustains

If in the night, you'd steal away

My heart would break, my soul would quake

But in the end, I'd let you be

Because you were a friend to me

Yes just a friend, you were to me
