As the City Burns

fire burns in the city
a blue red orange blaze that
burns all in her path
unforgiving unmerciful
there is no escape from her

her brother storms
winds that tear up trees and houses
rains that drown the cries of falling men
as they try to capture the queen the city capitol

the coats of red stained brown
with dirt with feces with blood of the fallen
as angels from above come to claim the
souls taken from the brother and sister

coats of blue raise up a cheer
they are saved by a storm so fierce
in protection of his queen city

the world turned upside down
they cry they sing
blue and red alike
fire coats storm coats
as the city burns
