Cities

Wed, 11/26/2014 - 23:13 -- Herma

And I seem to be stuck

I cannot seem to move

The atmosphere of this place surrounds me

The people, they don’t seem to care

They are just like the city

Fast, superficial, and dead

And I seem to be stuck

Looking out the window

Awed by their beauty

Wishing to be out there with them

But I stay inside

Watching them as their lives go by

And I seem to be stuck

Stuck,

In the city that once loved me
