Circles two

Matthew 26:39

39 Going a little farther, He threw Himself down with His face to the ground and prayed,

“My Father, if possible, let this cup pass from Me! Yet not what I will, but what You will.”

Circles two

I am wearing myself out … going in circles.

Finally a place to rest … for my weary bones

Reenergized I rise … and start again to run

on the path I know so well … that leads away from home.

Loosing what is good … bypassing what is better

Keeping my eyes focused … on my own understanding.

I have come a long way … to the place of my departure

the place where it all started … in my own pretending.

“Pass this cup from me” … the request of the Lord, my Savior.

He did not ask for Himself … but to prevent His Father’s pain.

The last thing that He wanted … was to grieve His Father

He really always lived for Him … love’s contentment so remained

Forever……..
