The Chosen One
Location
I am stuck in a cupboard, dusty and small. With no one who loves me down the hall. Never knowing anything about where I am from. Until that day when a giant had come. I made new friends and went to school. And found out strangly, that I was cool. But everything was not as good as it seemed. For at night I was plagued with terrible dreams. I waited all summer for news from my mates. However I did not receive a single update. A little elf tried to keep me away. He knew this year would not be child's play. I took a trip down a giant drain. To save a friend from life-ending pain. Myth became real when I fought a snake. And once again my life was at stake. I had trouble holding all of it back. As I was forced to listen while my parents were attacked. The one who spoke ill, just kept getting bigger. And I ran away with renewed vigor. I found out that I was being tracked by a killer. His crazed picture was posted on each tree and pillar. But the man was not bad, but good as can be. And better yet, he truly loved me. I attended a game, so wild and exciting. We never imagined it would end up so frightening. As we all fled in fear, I fell to my knees. What I saw that night, caused me great unease. I was forced to play a game I did not want to play. It felt like my entire life was on display. I tried in vain to save my friend. But instead of living his life, he met his end. I started the next summer by being attacked. Which caused my government to overreact. Luckily for me, someone was on my side. And he helped all the unjust hatred subside. I changed from student to teacher that year. Teaching my classmates to conquer their fears. A battle arose, and I was his pawn. And the only one who loved me was suddenly gone. I accompanied my teacher to pick up a new recruit. All the while, evil remained on our pursuit. At school I succeeded with help from a book. But some things I learned from it made me look like a crook. I found myself surrounded by bodies, water and fire. It was not long after, my mentor expired. Another year had gone by, and I was still alive. And I knew what to do next, and who would finally arrive. I left my house of sixteen years. And later I shed so many tears. For our eyes were gone, and so was my bird. The things that came later, were simply absurd. I watched as people fell for me left and right. And it made me wonder who would prevail, the dark or light. When the time came, I did what must be done. It was then that I knew, that I was the chosen one.
