Chosen blindness

1 Peter 3:3-4

Let your beauty not be external—the braiding of hair and wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes

4 but the inner person of the heart, the lasting beauty of a gentle and tranquil spirit, which is precious in God’s sight.

“The hidden person of the heart”... it sounds so secretive?

Do I know this person ... do I communicate with him?

Why is he hidden daily ... from me and not from others?

Who can see him alive and even at times appreciate him.

Incorruptible beauty ... and that is part of me?

I don’t even know it ... Oh, brother! Ain’t I smart?

God gave me that Spirit ... to reach out for perfection

and I don’t even know Him ... as I live my “chosen” part.
