Wild little boy, not a care in the world,
Nothing can bring him down, for now.
Sweet little girl with ribbons and curls,
Never crossing the line of what was allowed.
He grew up fast and wanted to be free,
His mistakes didn’t matter, he was just having fun.
She tried to be perfect, and she tried to please,
But she questioned herself and her future to come.
He stayed in the sky with no worries on his mind,
While the world moved along without him.
She reached for the stars, but as hard as she tried,
She could never feel at peace in her own skin.
The little boy and little girl used to laugh and play,
But now they're merely strangers after choices that they've made.
