I say I hate children but that's a lie
I hate their fragile nature because I worry that it will soon end
I hate their innocence because I know it will soon be shattered
I hate their joy because I know it will be short lived
But most of all
I hate that I will never get to be like them again
I hate that my childhood is over
I hate children because they have what I miss so dearly
