Childhood

Our playgrounds were on the roof.

Here they weren't.

My food was cooked fresh.

Here it isn't.

My friends were all mixed.

Here they're not.

We shared bathrooms in classes.

Not here.

I lived in the same house,

for the many years.

I switched schools

for every new year and group.

My life has changed.

My 4's became ads.

My friends became enemies.

My hate became a C minus

and my emotions became an F plus.

My friends were all 3's

and my surroundings went to 1.

Life changes as one grows up.
