For the Child in All of Us

For those who ran out of places to roam,

And don't have for themselves a home,

Believe that you can leave,

And a shadow you will recieve.

He will take you far, far away at night,

To the second star at the right.

With a little pixie dust you will be soaring

Straight on till morning

Welcome to Neverland

Where magic is embedded in the sand.

A place made of childrens' dreams,

Where youth flows through its streams.

A kingdom ruled by Peter Pan and his Lost Boys

For them and all children to experience their youthful joys

Where time stands still.

A place to test your will.

But one day a year

Adults come from far and from near.

To an island where a little faith, trust and pixie dust can make you fly

And wish all your problems goodbye.

To be a child for one night

and to believe with all your might.

With Peter Pan and the Lost Boys you will have fun

Look! There's Captain Hook, better run!

With Tiger Lily and her tribe you will make a lot of noise

And with Wendy she'll teach you how to be poise.

Don't forget about Tinkerbell

She'll make you feel swell.

A night Peter promises to make

To let your inner child out for goodness sake!

He realized the youth stays with the old,

And the desires of the past never grow cold.

So once a year,

Adults have nothing to fear.

To become a child

and to be free and wild.

Because the child in all of us never dies,

Within our hearts is where it lies.
