Change Perspective

Mon, 02/03/2014 - 20:09 -- mdunn

Always consumed by our thoughts, our actions,

we forget to stop and think

about nothing.

Consumed by our time, our plans,

we forget to stop and breathe.

To relax.

Has humanity as a whole become so

accustomed to the name "race"

that we forget to slow down

and remember who we are?

Have we forgotten our place as the protectors,

the higher power, the parents of this earth?

As the superior species we have become

engrossed by our narrow-mindedness,

forgetting that we are not alone.

But we soon will be.

What happens to us,

when we become all that's left?

Left abandoned by God,

when it was really us that gave up.
