Change

If I were to change one thing about myself,

I'd choose to be a creature other than a human.

It must be nice to be a less complex being -

137 less thoughts running through my mind at 3am,

16 less migraines per month to boggle the mind of an internal medicine doctor,

174 less decisions per week to make.

It must be nice to have a fixed nature

And to simply do what is to be done.

I do not in any way deny that the human body amazes me in every way,

But if I were to change one thing about myself,

I'd choose to be a simpler creature.
