Chance

When I have lied to myself and others for so long,

It is hard to see who is wrong,

We could lie to ourselves like we always do,

But since I have had so much more pain to go through,

My perception is far different than yours,

Like imagining what life is like with 3 doors,

One door would lead to the past,

That door I will never open, therefore leave that for last,

The second is a reflection of the present,

The safe path of no rise or descent,

The last door is full of uncertainty,

But, I know I would take a chance willingly.
