Chameleon Friend

i’m a chameleon friend

it doesn’t much matter who you

put me with

i’ll blend in somehow.

i assimilate into groups

it’s a survival method

become like the group

come into the group

of course there are limits

chameleons can’t spell letters

on themselves

and they can’t turn themselves to marble

but what color is a chameleon

when no one is looking

no one knows because as soon as you look

they’re what they think you want to see

i’m the chameleon friend

don’t worry who you introduce me to

i’m sure to fit right in

(though the fit may be tight).
