Chains of Solitude

Could I be a person
Lost in the sea
Swimming deeper still
To find memories?

Such a Lonely person,
Sinking to the ground,
All I see are people
Whom are no more around.

Little joys in little things
Soon are gone and replaced,
Soon there will be nothing
Except cloudy days.

I draw chains upon my hand
Because I know they're there..
Maybe if I see them and
Erase them, they will break.

Give me voices,
I know myself too well.
Give me ropes
Instead of chains,
So they don't weigh me down.
I never knew
How heavy emptiness could be.
I never knew,
So please accept my apology.
Now we're both wrapped in
Chains of solitude.
