The Celestial Stamp

Thin, and fair, with hair

Of a “living gold;”

“Fairer than a garden rose;”

Face of an “expressive” mold.

Beaut, but orphan, and compassion

That makes her “cuz;”

Popular with admiration;

Body enrobed with a crown de luz.

Victor, without her

Guidance and “pleasure,”

Throws a temper,

Of no measure.

Elizabeth spies forth

Victor’s toils and spoils,

And makes her all he’s worth;

“A heaven-sent;”

“A Celestial Stamp.”
