A Caterpillar's Luxury

 

Like caterpillars

in between the shadows found

beneath the leaves, words

 

hide out inside a

heavy heart. The carnage in

between the lines keeps

 

souls at bay who soon

will find, this war is not worth

the pain it will bring.

 I can hear nature ooze out of this poem, you are able to evoke imagery using only a few words. That's a great skill to have. I think you'll like the style of William Carlos Williams, he manages to keep his poems sweet and to the point as well.
