In Case We Never Meet

Sun, 07/20/2014 - 10:54 -- Marky19

How can Heaven be as sweet

If you, my friend, I never meet.

How consoling in Hell it is -

Your heart remains embracing His.

Before our births, you saw me go

To take the test on lands below.

But when we came into the world

On other sides our lives unfurled.

Life, I know you are a treasure

Born from beauty beyond measure.

Why do you miss, why do you fall,

Why don't you hear the holy call?

One day perhaps we'll all be there

Where souls are filled and all is fair.

And we will play with joy and sing

The glory of the loving King.

I'll see you then my friend, my friend,

When fallen stars once more ascend.

Await a world's abrupt conclusion,

To trumpets crumbles hate's illusion.
