Cascading Emotions

Mon, 06/17/2013 - 15:27 -- Joy77

The sun is shining
My heart is smiling
My skin absorbs the sun’s warm rays.
The birds are singing
The water is gleaming
Chasing my worries all away.
As the sun goes down
My heart begins to frown
I am forced to leave this peaceful place.
We crunch across the gravel
My heart pounds like a gavel
As our tires roll away from the lake
The sky looks very dull
The rain starts to fall
Tears begin to stream down my face.
The rain falls harder
My tears roll farther
I’m drowning beneath the weight.
The sorrow in my heart
Will soon be put to right
When God’s loving arms push away the hate.
His warm embrace
Puts a smile on my face
He is stronger than my worries and my fears.
