Carpe Diem

Two lovers, crossed by the stars
Their love, a burning fire
Their future, cut short by Atropos
Yet still they meet
Away from prying eyes
Where only the vines
Witness their passions
Where only the vines
Hear their whispers of sweet nothings
Still they meet
To bask in the other’s presence
The other’s undying love
And still they love
Their fires blazing hotly
As they cherish the short years
Months, weeks, days
They have left together
For there may be no tomorrow
