Can You Still Feel the Magic, Ide?

Do you find yourself in the night

In your backyard where the humming day has died

As the deep chill descends on you

Even without a jacket you left inside in haste

the cold is not unbearable

Surrounded by forest, as the moon looms to the south,

its rays interrupted by the dark branches,

your yard provides the only view to the sky.

Do you still rejoice for the sight of the stars,

wonder at the thought of how far they are,

shrink in your proportion to the giants so dim,

shudder at the remembrance

that there're secrets beyond them

Which hold the truth of what is after now has been,

after we have lived.

Do you still believe that out there you can breathe in the world,

that when left to you, you can feel anything
