I walk to center stage
With all my muscles I engage.
Moving my arms and legs so agile
Pretending the floor is oh, so fragile.
I begin my senior dance
I fall into a trance
Standing in my final stance ,
I steal the show with my leap
Wanting the audience weep,
Not a dreadful weep
But a beautiful weep.
I want a standing ovation.
My last dance before my graduation.
What is dance?
Dance is:
Dramatically Thrilling
Pouring out my feelings
Stealing all my imagination
It’s a solid foundation
Stealing the hearts of you and me
Me: Hayden Lee.
It turns back time
With no words like a mime.
Taking my heart thump thump thump
Turning it to bump da bump bump bump.
Dance isn’t just a game people play,
Dance is a display
Dance never betrays
It always conveys
Those feelings that shadow a dancer.
Dance inspires you and I to move on
Even when a bad day has gone,
Dance has the ability to turn things around
Dance can make me astound.
I walk center stage
With all my muscles I engage.
