Building Hope

I look into the

mirror everyday to

see my reflection;

A broken mess

I walk around school

through an empty hallway

watching people on the

other side with a friend

I try to run to a

person in the distance,

but as it disappears,

I trip, losing all hope

I cry wondering if

there is hope again.

The puddles of my tears

show my reflection, torn apart

A hand presses my shoulder,

as I look up to find a girl

to teach me Gods true love,

and he has always been here for me

Another girl approaches sending

out her heart to me to

pray for everything, and

to love everyone

A boy sprints over

giving me the giggles

that I have never

laughed, and also strength

Many more guys come

over to give me a hand

up, and putting my hope

back together forever

Lastly a girl presents

me a yellow rose, telling

me I am no longer

lonely anymore

I look into the mirror

now to see a boy who

was saved by God’s

true love, and also friends.
