Budget

Ecclesiastes 11:9 New English Translation (NET Bible)

Enjoy Life to the Fullest under the Fear of God

Rejoice, young man, while you are young,
and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth.
Follow the impulses of your heart and the desires of your eyes,
but know that God will judge your motives and actions.

Budgeting

Here we go again falling into old habits

Just leave your guard down and downhill it goes

Will I ever learn that waste has little profit?

And what is lost is gone, leading you by the nose

Live within a budget seems an impossible practice

Unless removed very far from the flesh’s temptation

There is never a free ride and surely this is factual

And not to understand this brings complete frustration

Flesh and bones and mental strings dancing in the dark

There’s no end to this song that’s played in the same key

Almost hypnotized by it and weathered like a tree’s bark

We age and harden in conscious torn as anyone can see

Maybe all in all without exception the forest we are in

Seems to be appointed as we seem all lost in the same

After all the places we visit where others have already been

Experience the same emptiness in an ever-losing game
