Broken Girl

There was so much buried insider her that she thought she could ignore,

But really all it was doing was starting a war.

The things she hid and the things she denied really only made it worse.

If she would just open up she would have no remorse.

She knew the lies of the deamons in her head, but yet, she listened to what they said.

Until that one day when she heard God's voice saying "My child, this is just a test.

Soon to come you will find rest".

There were days that she wanted to forget but she stayed for those days because they were worth more than the rest.

Without the trials, how would she even grow?

What would she even know?

And soon she realized...

Broken girls blossom in to warriors,

And she realized she didn't have to be a worrier.

She realized that it's such a beautiful thing to have breath in her lungs each day,

And that good things were already underway.

So with that she started anew.

Seeing life from a different view.

Things began to shift for her that she never expected,

And with God she felt more connected.

So thanks to Him for the tests and trials,

For without them she'd still be in denial.
