A Broken Friendship

I thought that you were a true friend
That you would be there until the end
But now I know that it ain't true
Cause now there is no room for me and you
You pushed me over to the side
As if you did it with much pride
You were suppose to be there in time of need
But instead yo stayed gone, out of greed
My trust was shattered, like glass on the floor
When you closed that friendship door
I picked up the pieces and put them away
With hopes of finding a true friend one day
So now you look back on what is gone
Wondering to yourself what went wrong
Maybe it was you
Maybe it was me too
But it doesn't matter, for there is no desire
To light the match and reignite the smoldered fire

MVP-Most Valuable Poet

it's very unfortunate that this friendship ended the way it did
everything happens for a reason-its about learning and moving forward
there is someone out there that will honor true friendship
i can sense and feel every word that was recited-great job
