It began on a ship, one we didnt have an opportunity to drive,

this was a cruise that a person of color was lucky just to stay  alive..

We were hired wth out the need of an application,

we are about to work in a all white mans nation..

This job discription is one like no other,

one that would abuse fahters, sons, daughters, and even grandmothers...

We take this job of cooking, cleaning, and picking the masters cotton,

lucky to get a meal even if the food was rotten..

So we came togeather to fight this opretion,

but now there is another battle to fight its the war on segregation.

where a black man coudn't drink from the same water fountain as the white man at a simple gas station..

This happen through out history for long period of time,

but why did this lighter complicted man feel he was better than everyone else,

did he not know his blood is red just like mine...

Once again a number of people had to lose their lives fo just a little progress,

but now our black men are in a war taking M-16 projectiles in the chest...(Vietnam)

To think about this hurts my heart to the core,

our young black men are fighting in a war and they dontknow what they are fighting for..

It's wonderful a president is elected one who love the humn race,

he was killed quickly taking a bullet right above his face.. (kennedy)

Here we are in 2014 things are diffrent but the same,

but in so many instances we have ourselves to blame..
