A Book For Me
Location
There is a place filled with so many books
You see a story everywhere you look
I search and search the shelves I see
But I do not see a book for me
There are books that tell tall tales
About seas filled with pirates and whales
Brave warriors venture on a quest
Fight the battles and face a final test
I search and search the shelves I see
But I do not see a book for me
There are books with creatures of the night
With Vampires, Witches, and Werewolves that fight
The gifted children in the gloom
Seem to forever face certain doom
I search and search the shelves I see
But I do not see a book for me
There are books filled with cases
That have theories with blank spaces
With mysteries of murder to solve
That detectives work to resolve
I search and search the shelves I see
But I do not see a book for me
There are books full of high-tech wonder
With things so advanced they make you ponder
Great accomplishments that scientists can only hope for
Are shrink rays and aliens that could make us done for
I search and search the shelves I see
But I do not see a book for me
There are books hiding things in trunks
Monsters that can tear you into chunks
Horrors beyond your scariest dreams
Things not wanted to be seen filled to the seams
I search and search the shelves I see
But I do not see a book for me
Why are all of the books that I see
Not the ones for me?
Mostly because I discovered
That I judge a book by its cover
