I’m 18 years old

And I’m barely 5 feet and 1 inch tall.

People used to call me “midget” or “funsize”,

But I’m happy with how God made me.

It’s easy to say that I probably look

A lot younger than what I am, or that

I should try all the more to wear

Grown-up clothes; thing is, if I had

To choose what height I would be

I would choose 5’7’’ at least because

That’s an “average” height.

But just because I don’t fit the average

For girls, does not mean I am any less beautiful.

In fact, my height has helped me see that

I can buy many pairs of cute heels!

Or even embrace how I can run fast as a kid.

Most of all, I like that I am short with my family.

I’m not alone, I was made like this for a purpose,

Not everything has to be in my control.

I love my height and who I am becoming,

What really strikes me is that my creator made me this height in his PERFECT plan for me.
