The Boast of Ryan Davey

I speak the words already heard by most

For my story has been told by many.

I am Ryan, son of Ed, and grandchild of Charles

He who showed me what power-stone was.

Through my fourteen years of playing soccer

I have played the best competition around

And no one has ever stood a chance against

The pride-pouncer.

People have said that I rose from an amateur

To a stupendous skilled soccer player.

They have seen my tremendous talents on the soccer field

My goal scoring capabilities.

I am always dripping with blood, sweat, and tears

With glory always by my side

While defeat is a faraway echo in the distance.

I have ice in my blood-tracks

And I am known as a super soccer star.

My next journey awaits me

Where I’ll be slaying the McLane and Prep dragon.
