Blue

they said they wanted a boy

blue were painted on all my toys

my clothes sewn with the cold

with the cold tones of the color wheel

trying to ensure i would fit the mold

barbies were my enemies

pink looked was disgusting

yet as I grew older the sky and i turned to frenemies

the pink sky held high regards

the events of a dark day

were the start to a new mirage

who was i? i asked

scared by the confusion it cast

they said they wanted a boy

blue were painted on all my toys

my clothes sewn with the cold

with the cold tones of the color wheel

trying to ensure i would fit the mold

barbies were my enemies

pink looked was disgusting

yet as I grew older the sky and i turned to frenemies

the pink sky held high regards

the events of a dark day

were the start to a new mirage

who was i? i asked

scared by the confusion it cast
