"Blowing in the Wind"

Location

It's all connected, don't you see?

From you to me to he to she to they to we

We're unified yet disintegrated, for many fail to see

The truth in equality needed to liberate society

Earthly voices, faces everywhere

Many stories, backgrounds, and thoughts to be shared

But I question as our numbers grow

Why our differences become means of war and woe

They say it's democracy they say that we're free

But how can we be free if we never really see

Past the social labels of what is meant to be

Forget that life, a revelation is in need

Minds like a closed off room

Dusty thoughts swirl around and purities consumed

By the close-minded judgments of an unfair world

It's a beautiful life but we don't want it spoiled

Don't criticize what you can't understand

Ignorance is nothing but and unwanted fad

Why must we fight over diversity

Defined good and bad, it defines what you believe

Religion, color it's just an outer being

Forget social status, liberation is the key

Lets depart from a life that promotes minorities

Through the differences we're equal, unity will set us free

Like Bob Dylan said, "the answer my friend is blowing in the wind"

Open your mind to find that there's so much more within

Let go of your judgments and learn from the world

It's a beautiful life and we don't want it spoiled

Now don't you see, we're connected you and me

By the norms of the world, standards sometimes set beyond control we seek

Don't settle for conformity there's a better way to be

The people set the structure, choose what you want to see
