Ignorance isn't bliss.
It's like a meteor.
At first glimpse, it's blinding.
Brings buoyant and promising sensations.
That only last so long.
Gone in a blink of an eye.

Blankets the truth with lies.
Creating a false sense of security.
Hope for something that can not happen.

When it unravels.
It disappears for good.
You're left with daggers drawn,
Discombobulated on what you did wrong.
How could've the tides turned.
Never receiving answers.

Ignorance isn't bliss.
It only prolongs the inevitable.
The truth will always be revealed.
As Robert Frost would say
Nothing gold can stay.
