Blackberry Skin

Location

Smooth Skin resembles the dark of the night

Do you inhale my beauty?

Skin dark and sweet mixed in with putrid smell of public hate

Do you despise my beauty?

In the mirror I look at my midnight skin.

Should I digest roaring confidence or should I harbor a horrbile meekness?

They hate me, They love me

Despise me, but want to be me

Society doesn't know whether to accept this new found beauty or leave it in

a deep dark abyss.

My blackberry skin, far from the lightest of light.

My blackberry skin , a public controversy.

Beautiful for a dark one they said

Such a reckless compliment I said

Unordinary to be pleasing and dark as night they believe

I laugh

Inhale my dark beauty

Love my dark beauty

Notice my dark beauty

Blackberry skin, dark as night

Even to the most evil

I am a beautiful beam of dark light.
