Black Kingdom

Hope has died and change never came
Because we sat here and allowed our voices to be tamed
Keeping our mouths closed is like blood stained on our hands
Because we watched the injustice unravel upon our friends
why black kingdom do we remain to silent
is it because we are afraid that they are going to tell us to be quiet
why black kingdom do you not thirst to be heard
Don't you know there is value in your words
Listen black kingdom, they are trying to build a tyranny
They are trying to strip you of your everything
Remain strong black warriors as you fight to be right
Stay strong or your brothers and sisters will cry into the night
Speak black elders for you are the all wise
Help discourage those who despise
Of this black kingdom we have built
and those who try to burn our stories sewn on quilts
resurect the hope that died
with your tongues that speak wisdom
share not your anger or you will destroy this kingdom
But spread your intelligence then maybe they'll see us differently
Then maybe we can finally be treated equally
Speak My people we are given these voices
Not to bring hurt but to destroy it
Yes there will tears shed for those who have tried
to free us from these burdens in our lives
Rise together and let it be known
That it's time for injustice to be dethrowned
Black kingdom, change the world
use your voices to save boys and girls
Change it so that this black kingdom will come together as one
We are not a race, we are not something someone can run
We are warriors who fight
to be equal so that the world will no longer be seen in black and white
Rise all kingdoms and let it be known
It's time for us to be heard and inequality to be dethrowned
