Birds

Wed, 01/06/2021 - 13:49 -- Mahrukh

Feathers and wings
Ducks or penguins
Macaws and cuckoos
Birds of all types
Each of them mesmerize
And I watch them in awe
When they fly
And eagles high in their nest
And the way owls rest
Bat with there wings
Blanketed around to sleep
Funny as it seems
To hang upside down
If I was a bird
I might want to be
A flamingo or a nightingale
Or a pigeon maybe
Its the wings that I want
To fly around
To feel the wind in my wings
When the journey never ends
It just begins
A bird from the neighborhood
Nothing fancy
I would be any one from them
If I could be
