Like A Bird

I'm like a bird, flying high

Everyday in the sky

I get shot, and I cry

This is ending my life

I fall down, on the ground

No one hears this sound

On the street that I’m bound

I stay here never found

It's obscene, I’m unseen

In this scene, I can't scream

For the help that I need

No one here sees me bleed

There's nothing now, I can't speak

Words are stuck behind my beak

I feel numb, I can’t breathe

The hot sun burns my cheek

I feel cold and alone

I’m so far from my home

My mind’s dark, there’s no spark

To this life, I can’t fight

For the will not to die

But I can’t stay alive

As I drift off to sleep

My mind goes some place deep
