In The Big World

Hands are cold

Body is shaking

All the anxiety

Caused from the stress

It brought depression

It brought darkness

And the tears wouldn't stop

They fell against the pillow

No one could hear

Isolation

In the big world with small people

Everyone is sad in their own way

Lost as they walk in the dark

Depending on the wrong things

People and objects

Money and drugs

Addiction

They say "I'm okay"

But deep inside

The darkness is blocking the sun

Seeing online what people are saying

"Hoe"

"Slut"

"Ugly"

Feelings take emotional beatings

At home the body takes physical beatings

Sitting on the bed looking around

In a house that is not really a home

Staring at the pills

Thinking "It will all be over"

But she doesn't want to die

She wants

The hands that are cold to go away

The shaking body to disappear

The anixiety to calm down

The stress to subside

Because its what brought

Depression

Darkness

Tears would dry up

From the sun

The warmth will blanket her body

Shield her from the darkness

It will shine into the house that isn't a home

For once she will sit there alone

Bruises, scars, and cuts healing

Pills flushed down the toilet

Her reflection staring back at her

Saying "I'm okay"
